Maita Marlene Raboin

Maita Marlene (Fuller) Raboin, 84, of Baxter, MN, formerly of Cass Lake, MN, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Harmony House in Brainerd.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, Minnesota with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Farris Farden Township Cemetery near Cass Lake.

Maita was born February 9, 1933 in Park Rapids, MN the daughter of Gerald “Bud” and Florence (Cooper) Fuller. In 1934 the family moved from Nevis, MN to Cass Lake where Maita was raised, attended school and graduated from high school in 1951. She married E. John Raboin on February 24, 1955 at Williams AFB Chandler, AZ, pinned on his Wings that same day, and spent most of the next 30 years as an Air Force Pilot’s wife. During that time, she traveled extensively throughout the world and saw much of the United States, Europe, and Asia. One of the most favorite places she and her five children lived was in the Philippines from 1968 to 1971. In 1983, Maita received a Bachelor of Science degree from NDSU at Fargo, with a major in nutrition. She loved flower gardening, picking wild flowers, babies, going for rides, designing houses, playing piano, painting pictures, needlework, cooking and most of all spending time with her family. They moved to Bemidji; living there until 2004 when they moved to the Brainerd area.

She is survived by her husband, E. John Raboin of Baxter; 5 children, Amy Trosen of Baxter, John S. (Laurie) Raboin of Baxter, Toby Raboin of Bemidji, Jim (Kim) Raboin of Brainerd and Betsy (Jerry) Reed of Cleburne, TX; brother, Jerry Fuller; sister, Suzanne (Jerry) Daniels of Bemidji; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Florence Fuller.

Active Casketbearers will be her grandsons, Brandon Raboin, Andrew Raboin, Matthew Raboin, James Raboin, Stephen Raboin, Nathan Raboin, Lawrence Trosen and John “JJ” Raboin.

Honorary Casketbearers will be her granddaughters, Jessica Westlund, Rebecca Henry, Lilly Raboin, Dana Hutchins, Lila Dillon and Lisa Hess.
